Swapnil Agaskar – PPSA, AFIAP, GPU CR2, AFIP
Swapnil Agaskar is a Printing Technologist from the Sir J. J. School of Arts – Mumbai, and a student of Late Professor Shreekant Malushte’s Indian Institute of Photography from the 1980s.
He has a PPSA distinction from the Photographic Society of America, AFIAP distinction from Federation Internationale de l’Art Photographique, GPU Crown 02 distinction from the Global Photographic Union and AFIP distinction from the Federation of Indian Photography.
Swapnil runs his own studio and training center in Kandivali, Mumbai. He shoots Corporate & Personal Portfolios, Products & Spaces (link to relevant portfolios). He also conducts personal and group training in photography.
The various studio workshops which Swapnil conducts, include a wide range of lighting and photography techniques. He also leads Photo Walks and Photography Tours on varied topics.
Swapnil is an ex-mentor for DCP Expeditions and has been a Photography Faculty with Aditya College of Design Studies, Mumbai.
His non-commercial work has been published in various publications and his images have been displayed in major exhibitions across Mumbai, Thane, Vasai, Pune, Nasik, Nagpur and Delhi in prestigious art galleries like Jehangir & Piramal (Mumbai), Baal Gandharva (Pune) & M F Husain (Delhi) Art galleries.
Saevus, India’s popular Wildlife magazine, has featured Swapnil as the ‘Photographer of the Month’ in March 2019, on all their web properties. Saevus also featured him in an interview on Instagram LIVE.
Having won the 3rd, the 1st and the 2nd prize of the national competition of APAC, on consecutive occasions, he has featured in their photography exhibitions in the prestigious Piramal Art Gallery in NCPA, Mumbai.
Swapnil is the winner of the ‘Mumbai Fotothon 2021’, ‘Mumbai Fotothon 2017’ and was adjudged the second best photographer to cover the ‘Naval Marathon 2018’. He has to his credit, over 600 International Salon acceptances across 150 image titles from 14 Countries.
