Hello! Thank you for visiting my blog.
I’m Swapnil Agaskar a “passion” photographer, based out of Mumbai – India. Technically I’m a qualified Printing Technologist from Sir J. J. School of Arts Mumbai, where I studied photography as part of the curriculum. Later on, I followed it up with a diploma in photography under Prof. Shreekant Malushte.
I have a keen interest across various genres of Photography, especially Candids and Birds. My endeavor is to always achieve the maximum in an image ‘in-camera’, with very little or basic post processing work. Personally I’m strongly against image manipulation and over processing done to project an unreal image.
As part of my journey I’m very keen on sharing my knowledge, therefore this blog. Out here, my effort is to create a photo journal featuring articles, photo journeys, information catalogs and tutorials – covering the city I stay in and the places I visit.
I’m trying to make this a place where I can share information about photography at a basic level. I will also talk about various aspects of photography that I have explored over the past few years. Hopefully the articles here will help start-up photographers learn things I have learnt through personal experience.
I’m a photo-enthusiast who never took up photography as a profession. But I have followed it passionately most of my life. Though I’m not a master of photography yet, I think I can do my bit by sharing whatever little knowledge I have gathered about this beautiful art.
I’m currently associated with DCP Expeditions as a Group Leader and with TCR India Photography as an Administrator/ Mentor.
